V60: Core Recipe – This is Lucky Coffee Club's go-to recipe.

  • Dose: 15g coffee Yield: 240g water (approx. one cup) Brew Ratio: 1:16
  • Grind: Medium-fine (like table salt) Water Temp: 94°C/201°F (just off the boil)
  • Filter: Cone paper filter (We recommend Abaca brand), rinsed well

Equipment:

  • V60 Dripper
  • Paper filters
  • Kettle (preferably gooseneck for pouring control)
  • Scale
  • Timer

    Instructions:

1.Rinse Filter: Place a filter in the V60 dripper and rinse thoroughly with hot water. This removes any papery flavor and preheats the brewer.

2.Grind & Dose: Grind 15g of your chosen coffee to a medium consistency. (Slightly finer than flat bed dripper) Add to the V60.

3.Bloom (60g): Pour 60g of water over the grounds, making sure they're all saturated. Gently swirl the dripper and wait 45 seconds for the coffee to release gases.

4.1st Pour @ 0:45 (120g): Slowly pour water to 120g in a circular motion at, ensuring even saturation of the coffee.

5.Final Pour @ 1:30 (240g): Slowly pour water to 240g in a circular motion. This pours allows more contact time to extract more flavors. Aim for a total brew time of around 2:30-3:00 minutes.

6.Enjoy: Once brewing is complete, remove the dripper and serve your delicious coffee!
